Minimal access surgery or laparoscopic surgery involves one or more small incisions instead of one large incision. A tube with a camera and light is inserted into the body through the mouth or anus. And the surgical tools are further moved through a small incision. The surgeon then performs the surgery by observing the magnified image of the body part on television.
