Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery which takes care of all the diagnoses and treatments related to eye disorders.
An Ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who specializes in eye and vision care. Their job is to-
- Diagnose and treat all eye diseases
- Performs eye surgery
- Prescribe eyeglasses/contact lenses to correct vision problems.
